Frequently Asked Questions

To begin the design process, a non-refundable $200 deposit is required and is applied toward your final balance. Once the deposit is received, your custom CAD design is typically delivered within 7 business days. The design package includes up to three revisions and one complete redesign if needed. Additional revisions beyond those included are available for $50 each, though the vast majority of clients approve their design on the first submission.

After your CAD design has been approved, a 50% payment of the remaining balance is required to begin production. Your CAD deposit is credited toward the final cost of the piece. We accept debit or credit cards through secure payment via our website. Production begins once the required payment has been received.

Need a discreet payment to keep the proposal secrete? We also accept Zelle and Venmo via our business accounts.

Following CAD approval and payment, your jewelry enters production where it is carefully handcrafted by our skilled artisans. Most custom pieces require approximately 4-5 weeks for production, followed by an additional 2–3 days for quality inspection and final finishing. In most cases, clients can expect their completed piece within 5-6 weeks of placing their order.

Disclaimer: Some orders (very few) occasionally take up to 8 weeks to deliver. Sluder & Co is not liable for any events, plans, travel arrangements, proposals, weddings, or other commitments made by the client in the event that an engagement ring or custom jewelry order is delayed for any reason. Please make sure to have your order in hand before making any arrangements.

Free FedEx 2-Day Insured Shipping is included on all orders over $1,000 within the United States.

Shipping charges for orders outside of the United States will be calculated at checkout. Customers are responsible for any applicable duties, taxes, customs fees, import fees, or other charges imposed by their country. Sluder & Co is not responsible for these fees.

FedEx Overnight Insured Shipping is available for an additional $55.

For added security, FedEx Hold for Pickup is strongly recommended for all shipments and may be selected at checkout. This option allows your package to be held securely at a local FedEx location for pickup by the recipient with a valid government-issued photo ID.

All shipments are fully insured and may require a signature upon delivery.

Sluder & Co is not liable for delays caused by FedEx, customs processing, weather, natural disasters, labor disputes, carrier service interruptions, or other circumstances beyond our control. Sluder & Co is not liable for any event.

At Sluder & Co, we take pride in creating high-quality custom jewelry designed to last for generations. Every piece is carefully inspected before it leaves our hands. Our Limited Warranty covers certain manufacturing-related issues and provides peace of mind for our customers.

Warranty Coverage
Prongs & Bezels – 60 Day Coverage

Sluder & Co warrants that prongs and bezels will be free from manufacturing defects for a period of 60 days from the date of delivery.

If a prong or bezel becomes loose due to a manufacturing defect within this period, we will inspect the piece and perform the necessary repair at no charge.

This coverage does not include:

• Impact damage
  Bent, snagged, worn, or broken prongs caused by everyday wear
• Damage resulting from accidents, abuse, or improper care
• Loss of any stone resulting from damage after delivery

Small Diamond Coverage – 1 Year
All accent diamonds and side diamonds measuring 0.20 carats or smaller per individual stone are covered for one (1) year from the date of delivery.

If a covered accent diamond is lost due to a manufacturing defect, Sluder & Co will replace the diamond and perform the necessary repair at no charge.

This coverage does not include:

• Loss caused by impact, accidents, abuse, or improper care
• Damage caused by third-party jewelers or repair work performed outside of Sluder & Co
• Center stones of any size
  Diamonds larger than 0.20 carats per individual stone

What Is Not Covered
Our warranty does not cover:

• Center stones
  Normal wear and tear
  Scratches, dents, or cosmetic damage
  Bent rings or misshapen jewelry
• Damage caused by impact, accidents, or misuse
• Lost or stolen jewelry
  Damage resulting from exposure to chemicals, harsh environments, or improper care
• Repairs, resizing, modifications, or alterations performed by another jeweler
• Damage caused by improper storage or handling

Warranty Claim Process
If you believe your jewelry qualifies for warranty service:

Contact Sluder & Co as soon as possible after discovering the issue.
Provide your order number and photos of the jewelry.
Our team will review the claim and determine whether the issue falls within warranty coverage.

If approved, we will provide instructions for returning the item for inspection and repair.
Customers are responsible for safely packaging and shipping items to Sluder & Co unless otherwise specified.

Inspection Requirement
To maintain the integrity of your jewelry, we recommend having your ring professionally inspected and cleaned every 6–12 months. Regular inspections help identify normal wear before it becomes a larger issue.

Warranty Limitations
This Limited Warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser. Sluder & Co reserves the right to inspect all warranty claims before determining eligibility. In cases where a repair is determined not to be covered under warranty, repair options may be offered at the customer’s expense.
